Local Consultation: Wiltshire Dementia Strategy

Wiltshire Council and NHS Wiltshire Clinical Commissioning Group are inviting people with an interest in dementia to provide their comments on how they support people to live well with dementia in the future.

The strategy outlines plans for how organisations in Wiltshire will work together to support people with dementia and their carers and families to live well in Wiltshire.

With the number of people with dementia in Wiltshire predicted to rise by 28 percent in 2020 to 8,338, the key message is dementia is everyone’s business and everyone needs to play a part in making the county a good place to live with dementia.

The strategy also outlines the care and support services that are available for people from the point at which they start to have concerns about their memory through to the end of their lives.

People with an interest in dementia, whether through personal or professional experience, are being encouraged to contribute their comments and viewpoints.
