The Royal Voluntary Service, assisted by The King’s Fund, have launched the ‘Let’s End Going Home Alone’ initiative to recruit more volunteers to help pensioners back into their own homes after leaving hospital.
It is believed that this kind of service would prevent thousands of re-admissions to hospital every year.
